Training & Career
Mr John Adam graduated from Imperial College London with an MBBS in 2010, having previously been awarded a BSc in Surgery and Anaesthesia with First Class Honours in 2007.
He completed his Foundation and Core Surgical Training in Manchester before securing a place on the highly competitive North West Higher Surgical Training Rotation in Trauma and Orthopaedics — one of the UK's most respected orthopaedic training programmes.
Mr Adam then undertook a dedicated Shoulder and Elbow Fellowship at James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough, a nationally recognised centre of excellence for complex shoulder and elbow surgery.
Following completion of this fellowship, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in August 2022.
Research
Mr Adam maintains an active involvement in clinical research alongside his surgical practice. He has presented his work at national and international conferences and has published in peer-reviewed journals.
His research focuses primarily on conditions affecting the shoulder and elbow, including:
